ARTISTS
Halli Bourne
As a young transplant from the West Coast to a small, conservative southern town, the only place Halli Bourne felt at home was in the lively forest stretching over her parents' land. The cool sturdiness of their bark supported hours of musing, sensing, and later, knowing. Making art arose both from a pervasive loneliness, even as the youngest of seven children, and her deep affection for the calm and beauty the trees provided.

Bourne is a professional artist specializing in watercolor, oil and sketching, is a certified art teacher with a Masters in Illustration, and owner of True Self Coaching, LLC, a green arts organization intended to reconnect people with their creative birthright.

Halli Bourne is available for private bookings

My schedule is very flexible, so if there is a need, please just reach out.

Title or Location: Lunch Counter/ Madrid Spain

This was a scene I photographed at an enormous Farmers Market. The color of the bread caught my eye. Madrilenos have wine with lunch. So civilized.

Title or Location: Mech
I started off producing Sumi-e (calligraphy and ink paintings) and was approached about producing anime inspired work for Anime Cons. "Mech" is the result of this endeavor. In it I wanted combined the Japanese cultural esthetic of Kawaii and against a slightly dark post-apocalyptic theme and background. The girl is young and dressed in a "cute" gym outfit with matching pink hair, gloves and shoes. She exudes a slight air of "innocence" which is at odds with the background showing collapsed b
