Title or Location: Mech
I started off producing Sumi-e (calligraphy and ink paintings) and was approached about producing anime inspired work for Anime Cons. "Mech" is the result of this endeavor. In it I wanted combined the Japanese cultural esthetic of Kawaii and against a slightly dark post-apocalyptic theme and background. The girl is young and dressed in a "cute" gym outfit with matching pink hair, gloves and shoes. She exudes a slight air of "innocence" which is at odds with the background showing collapsed b

Title or Location: Quiet Desperation
This painting/illustration was created for my Art Therapy course taken at Edinboro University. The directive was to create a picture with words that described both sadness and hope. Watercolors seemed a fluid medium to use in expression of sad emotions. While the lettering of calligraphy showed hope. The quote from Henry David Thoreau about quiet desperation and verses from Amy Grant's Everybody Needs a Helping a Hand seemed a perfect balance. This is one of my favorite Art Therapy projects.

Title or Location: Looking north at South Mountain
I live in Edgewood. This was an early morning watercolor practice working on layering and depth. I have a view of the mountain from my porch. However, the view is not "realistic", as I have excluded unwanted objects. Thanks for wanting to use it!

Title or Location: Southern Lights, Bay of Fires Tasmania
Blue waters, white sands and orange lichen covered granite boulders of Bay of Fires is another magical part of Australian Landscape. I fell in love with Tasmania and decided to create a series of watercolour paintings reflecting the mesmerising beauty of Bay of Fires from Tasmania.

Title or Location: Autumn in the forest
I got inspired by the cooler air and wanted to paint a river in a forest where the leaves were changing color. It?s a small piece (6x4?) but I am hoping to replicate it in a larger format.

Title or Location: Scottsdale, AZ
I painted this for a challenge posted on the Art by Paul Clark FB group page. The reference photo was taken in Devonshire, England. I used a Bee Paper sketchbook and miscellaneous paints. I?ve been working on learning dry brush technique in watercolor for a while I I think I?ve finally mastered it as evidence by the trees in this one.

Title or Location: Hanging in There
This was a piece we were tasked with in a local watercolor class at the Creative Arts Center in Dallas with Sarah Janice. The intent was to replicate the various textures and wetness of the subject with preserving the white of the paper.
